@Bunniekins I don't know about the smart part, you have to be a little crazy to work with something you can't hear or see, but you can definitely feel it! I average a shock a year, not because I'm a bad sparky, but there's a lot of dodgy DIY people and most fault finding is done with the power turned on. Not to mention I've always been good at fixing things. My parent's had to ban me from having screwdrivers as a kid because I would take my toys apart, as I grew older I could put them together and then I would modify and improve them. The other kids would bring their radio control cars for me to fix and make better.
