@Blackcloud how amazing would it be if everyone was so welcoming and accommodating? it does suck that in reality, we have little control of it. everyone expresses themselves differently too and i imagine paying attention to tone, body language, etc., can be quite overwhelming to read and respond to. it's really great that you've tried to put yourself out there and give these things like volunteering a go, proud of ya for it!!
there are definitely work environments and managements out there that are understanding and respectful of their employees! it does suck that not EVERY place is like that though. critics can sometimes be a good a thing though - but definitely the way the person delivers it matters... like if they're saying it in a rude tone and only ever focusing on the negatives then that's not great. but if they're able to highlight/praise your strengths as well as give you some feedback on what's wrong/what needs to be worked on - sounds like a good boss to me! oh and i agree with you, definitely NOT cool to yell.
ohh yep makes sense, let me know what movie y'all end up watching and how it goes!!
that's so sweet that you'd imagine us as your client!! i'd be honoured to have you as my imagined Art Therapist. it would definitely be a lovely session each time 💙
