Thanks for the wonderful pointers @Decadian. I guess it's also possible to get vitamine D from the sun, and calcium from certain types of foods too - a healthy diet and sunshine could go a long way!
As we also say here on the SANE Forums, before you start taking any meds, even if it's just vitamins, check in with your doctor to ensure that they will have no interaction effects with other meds that you might be on.
