Re: The Community Garden :)

Thanks heaps @Former-Member. I forgot I even asked that question about the bird of paradise plant. Never thought of advertising it before, would be good if someone could dig it out. I have been told they have a extensive root system. I guess the plant is unique. But it just does not suit the spot its in. Yeah I am not that fond if it much either.

Hi @Shaz51 what are these plants? I like the creamy one in the middle. It's so sweet

Re: The Community Garden :)

I have dug up and relocated a well established Bird of Paradise a year or so ago @Former-Member . It barely took a backward step, and continues to thrive. But yeah, they do have quite an extensive root system. So if you really dont like it, yeah .. advertise it as free to anyone willing to dig it out.

Re: The Community Garden :)

Hi @Former-Member  and @Former-Member. Have you thought about growing sprouts, like in a jar. I am just looking into that now. Broccoli sprouts is what I am interested in. You don't need any soil. The soil where I am is not particularly good either.

Sherry my sister has lots of fruit trees and even grape vines. They place those white netting things over them when there is fruit on them. Quite a lot of birds have enjoyed the fruit before
