Where but in the soil filled with nutrients does the seed grow? And upon the barren ground desolation perpetuates, unknown of what it’s missing and lost 🌺💜
I was a farmer at one stage, living on a property, and the earth that was chopped, churned, tilled, raked, ploughed and pastured was the most productive. That land that was left to look lovely covered in a fine layer of grass was barren of holding deep roots, and producing anything of substance.
Herein lies the analogy of deep, churning experiences that produce richness’s of the soul 🙂🌺

Yes @Former-Member and its the sharing of words like that that gives each other idea's and elevates us.
A demented stunted deformed seedling in one hand . . . or a perfectly perched seedling, nurtured n loved in the other. Oh why Oh why am i leaning to the left ... again. All todays exchanges have spawned some idea's.
Chook to cook, eat it, Lay its egg , then breath life back into dead lambs n back latter for a chat.. thanks P F.. tns

Hey there @SmilingGecko ☺️🌺
It certainly was an honour to know someone who was of such age and experience - she was a treasure indeed 💜🌺
She had the amethyst for over 80 years, and I have had it 40 years, and the lady who gifted it to her was very old (in her 80’s when my dear friend was 14) and had received it from her mother, as far as I can remember, so it’s at least 200 years old in its current form, moving from hand to hand, woman to woman 🙂💜🌺
I once was wearing it while with a friend of mine some decades ago, in the city, and an elderly very well dressed man came to us and asked about it.. he said he thought it was from a very rare place and edged in very old silver…he literally stopped us to see it. He said he was a jeweller and specialised in antiques. I told him the story of it as I knew it, and he said I should never let it go 🙂💜🌺
It certainly has the weight of history when holding it, I feel 🙂
side note, I have a collection of rare print/rare existence antique medical texts used by professors from around the world from many decades ago, and they have a sense of history which is individual to each one, when they’re handled 🙂🌺
These things are the essence of life threaded through existence, carrying the past through to the present in some ways ☺️
Thank you for your kind words around someone returning the favour, that’s made me smile from ear to ear 🤗🌺💜
Thank you also for sharing about the amethysts’ usefulness - there are times I feel like just wearing mine, out of the blue! ☺️🙌🏻
I hope you’re having a lovely afternoon 🙂🌺💜

@tonys BAHAHA oh Huckleberry, I needed that laugh.
I’ve been pushing digital paper since 4am and I cannot consume another cup of tea … well ok maybe a chai latte. But not another loose leaf tea again today!
😳 I can hear ABBA coming from the pub. Good grief have I not suffered enough?
Is it time for a sauna or a nap? Always the hard questions.

@tonys @Former-Member life - nothing stays the same.
At Portsmouth Historic Dockyard you can tour the Mary Rose. Launched 1511 there is nothing on that ship that is from the original construction.
It reminds me of life. Parts of us get damaged from events and general wear and tear.
We might need to bring ourselves up to safety standards, when there was no requirement previously.
We adapt to what is required, and remove adaptations if they no longer fit the purpose.
Life is a voyage of change.
