Ha ha sherpard pie 🥧 @Jynx , @Meowmy

Totally delicious according to Mr shaz 😊

Re: Best Friends Club

@ENKELI they should have given you a hint “wear comfortable shoes” or “wear steel caps”.

Think I went into a small coma last night.

I should have tapped out today. But no couldn’t leave things alone. My left knee is ouchy. But hot water bottle is doing the trick.

I don’t know how these stupid moths are getting inside⁉️

The things are huge 🙌🏼 Had 6 of them in here 3 nights ago

Re: Best Friends Club

@Glisten now that's one hootin' big moth! I found one in my bedroom last night, took the sucker outside so Mal cat wouldn't try and attack it. I think he's getting over chasing things though and prefers to sleep and complain that I don't feed him often enough.

I was advised to wear covered in shoes and have worked in retail previously but I'd worn my boots to my previous work and knew they were comfortable. Unless you're on your feet all day. Which I wasn't in boots before. I have a couple of pairs of Skechers that I will rotate if I can find the other pair. Shoes have a habit of hiding in my house. I think a gremlin comes along while I am sleeping and hides them or puts them in unlikely places. Mind you I did manage to find a pair of New Balance sneakers I bought back in 2003 that are still in good nick. They travelled all over North America and were my second most comfortable shoes. Back in the day when shoes were made with leather. Sorry to the vegans/vegetarians but leather really is better for my foosties.

Toof extraction site is still painful, I am hoping to get some pain meds from the chemist tomorrow (those ones with the name forte at the end) while I am out and about. I feel like taking a spike and jamming it into the empty socket site! My dentist returns next week and I am crossing my fingers the "specialist treatment" that I probably need will be free of charge. Otherwise I will be living with the pain. I don't even know if I'll have the money to pay for the regular appointment as it is so that has been stressing me out.

I have a justify my existence to Centrelink appointment tomorrow which I am sooooo looking forward to. Not! I have to say that the staff at my service provider are pretty good though, not like the ball busters I used to deal with when I worked in the job services industry.

Am I ready for full time work? I don't think so. I think my mental state has deteriorated to a degree and I am in need of more help than what I am currently receiving. This is mostly on me as I haven't had the motivation to do anything about my lack of motivation!

How are you going? At least you had a good sleep last night, that is always beneficial.

Sorry to hear your knee is ouchy. Are you able to use voltaren gel? I use it for the ganglion on my little finger (it's too small to be removed sadly and I sure as heck ain't doing the old fashioned thing and slamming the ganglion with a large Bible!)

Are you still having moth issues? They are obviously drawn to your light and sparkle 🎇

And I don't blame them.

Has the weather been good for you in the 'brook?

Re: Best Friends Club

@ENKELI I’ll respond tomorrow. Can’t do it now. Too tired 😴 G

Re: Best Friends Club

@ENKELI Morning 👋🏼

Mal cat aka MC aka Malcolm McCat?

Funny how some cats and dogs just like the chase but don’t really want what they are chasing once they catch it.

Shoe Gremlins, so much rejoicing when you find things that you thought you had lost.

I felt the same way when I found my Electric Toothbrush in a box 📦 🎉

Toof hole 🕳️ state that you have been in continuous pain ever since the procedure for the dry socket performed on (date). Self-evident that it was unsuccessful.

The stress of the continuous pain has made you depressed. You need it successfully fixed immediately.

If the dentist cannot fix the dry socket then you need a referral to a professional who can fix it.

There was no indication of follow up plan or costs incurred. If this is to proceed then you will need a payment plan agreement.

Mental health - Physical illness and pain. @ENKELI my dearest Retiisi ❤️‍🩹

I want you to write me a list of all the physical damage that your body has incurred and never adequately treated.

Centrelink, I find crying helps. If you can do the Hollywood silent single tear down the cheek 🏆

I can’t do it. I can only do ugly crying. Because Centrelink’s questions remind me of how girls my generation were raised to compliant and put up with sh!t behaviour and abuse.

I’ve been sitting on the top step of the staircase, typing this post and my bum is numb.

Getting up is going to be a challenge 😆

Lots of hugs

G

Re: Best Friends Club

Hey @ENKELI I've just been reading about your issues with your tooth extraction and wanted to share that I went through something very similar with a tooth extraction last year

Despite trying to do everything right with the aftercare I developed dry socket. It took me a while to get back in to see my original dentist (after trying another one out of desperation who told me that it was normal pain and sent me on my way with the bill) who was able to recognise it as dry socket right away and address it free of charge since it was a complication from the previous appointment, I really hope your dentist is able to do the same!

It's so horrible to be in that pain and it does have such a negative effect on our wellbeing. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that it gets resolved very soon and free of charge 🤞

Re: Best Friends Club

@Glisten ha ha close! Mal usually gets Mally McCattus. Or Mally Murdermittens because of his massive paws. Ragdolls are not small. His other name is Gutty Boy.

My dentist has already told me he will have to refer me to a specialist. I'll talk to him next week regarding treatment etc.

The shoe gremlins offered up my sneakers this morning, hidden under a pair of jeans that were supposed to have landed in the laundry basket but fell beside it and I was too slack to pick them up. Oops.

Like you I can only ugly cry. I was always better behind the scenes than on stage. 2 years at WAAPA  proved that.

I think you and I are of the same age range and yes it was put up and shut up. I think that's why I react so badly to bullying and aggression now. I worked for a company for 17 years and one of my managers was likened to an abusive spouse. One of my colleagues showed me the cycle of abuse and we realised our manager did exactly that. We did nothing about it. She was my boss for several years.

I don't know if I want to go on sickness benefits because that is a long term thing, but then I can't imagine having to apply for jobs, go for interviews and then go to work every day.

Unfortunately the demand notices for my mortgage and rates don't care that I am feeling worse and prefer to stick it to me and cause more stress. I can't afford to stay on Jobseeker even with an exemption and pay my bills.

I have disc degeneration in my neck and sciatica and Arfur in my fingers - Arfuritis 😁  When the back pain is bad I have Celestone injections. Arfur is managed with forte and Voltaren.

I hope the bumness numbness didn't last too long and you were able to get up with little trouble. I find groaning loud enough to cause Mal to look at me weirdly helps. I'll get a photo of him with his "What ARE you doing human?!" look for you if that helps.

How are the GG's? Man I love horses.

Mucho hugs my Tomaatii, may you have a day full of warmth and smiles 🍅😍

Re: Best Friends Club

@Ru-bee thanks for your message lovely.

I did have to go back as yes, I too developed dry socket. That was treated but I am still experiencing pain and it has been a month. At my last appointment I mentioned I still had pain and my dentist said I would need to see a specialist as I may have a cyst in my sinus cavity. I am hoping I don't have to pay for the additional work - when I went back for dry socket treatment I wasn't charged but if I have to see a specialist I don't think it will be free. I am praying it will be rectified and at low or no cost.

I hope your day is going well, I'll let you know the outcome!

❤️

Re: Best Friends Club

Oh dear, a month of that pain @ENKELI !

I can't imagine how hard that has been. Yes please keep me updated on how you go 💗

Re: Best Friends Club

Hello my friends @Shaz51 @Glisten @ENKELI @Oaktree @tyme @Jynx and others

I finally made it to my break, so relieved! And exhausted!

How are you all?

@Oaktree I also wanted to say I read a little of your story the other day, and I respect you for your resilience.
