Re: Just checking in.

Hi @CheerBear I know this is a very difficult time for you and your emotions and thoughts would be all over the place. I understand where you are sitting Hon and it isn't a nice place either way you go with all this. You are the only one that can make this decision and you are the only one that can determine the future effects for you in whatever you decide. It seems that you have already decided and I wanted to add my support to you through all this. It is super tough Hon to be going through all this but you have the support of so many here to help soften the fall. You are much admired and much loved here and the strength you are showing throughout all this is super impressive - although I know you do not feel this right now. Hold onto us as much as you need and reach out for that support both here and irl - you deserve that so much CB. Holding you in the light Hon Heart

Re: Just checking in.

My maternal grandmother taught piano til she went to a home in her 80s I was always surprised that she wasn’t like mum. Seemed haughty and hard, if kind.
And yes lots of ‘survivors ‘ at work these days.. do anything to get ahead @Appleblossom

Re: Just checking in.

@Zoe7 thank you so, so much ❤ Means the world xx

Re: Just checking in.

My mother did the haughty and hard and teaching piano thing. I always tried to be warmer friendlier, but also better trained.  Have not taught for 2 years, but started at zoo to get some outside contact and input.

Re: Just checking in.

Better off with the original maybe @Appleblossom at least one of the stars lived it re Kris Kristoferson ok think he survived in the end also was an engineer and helicopter pilot .
Haven’t seen either tbh just remember send up of it in Mad magazine 1970s lol

Re: Just checking in.

Perhaps you need to teach again @Appleblossom?

Re: Just checking in.

... Crocodile Rock re zoo? Soz AB couldn’t help it. Had bath here am off to bed. Nite. Well hopefully. I woke and got up every 1.5hrs last night. Nearly fell asleep at lunchtime ok no lunch cos hot/well lazy .

Re: Just checking in.

The teaching got tricky with my son @TAB

He wanted me to show him how and give him opportunities, which I did, but we were too isolated and I was in pain, and I let pvt studio wind down.  I would have done anything to get him upskilled, but it was better he worked musically with other people, which he has been doing for last 3 years.  Before that we were getting inbred.

We will see what happens with this volunteer rock camp in Jan.  It might be fun.  Financially we are stable except plumbing ... and big water bills ... leaks ...

Also I have had to face facts that I was not well and always feeling I had to run a professional operation was a terrible strain.

I had student concerts well attended for 10 years etc ... so if that becomes a positive memory that is alright too.

That my osteo just told me she never thought I would be able work in any capacity is telling ..

Re: Just checking in.

Yes distance can be better eg driving lessons and offspring @Appleblossom. I should have been going to osteo for years lol. And funny what having licensing restrictions does re plumbers electricians eg makes harder to send overseas workers to replace them like in job I’m doing. If that hadn’t happened I may have got a pay increase in last 10yrs without job shopping to get one. Hope you get plumbing sorted

Re: Just checking in.

@CheerBear  Would it help to talk or did you just need to get it out on the worryroom. I’m guessing last nights conversation didn’t go so well.
