Re: Battles

@Till23 usually yes i do feel drowsy after a seizure but not tonight.

I did try a crisis service but the person I got really didn't care about what I was telling them or how I was feeling. They gave up on the conversation after about 15 minutes saying they don't know how to help me.

Don't get me wrong, I love Casper and yes I want to be here with him but I'm not sure it's enough to keep me going, not with everything else that's going on.

Re: Battles

I have to sign off @Dreamy so I can be good for my dog tomoorow (or today).

Why don't you sleep on things tonight and see how you are in the morning. Sometimes the mornings are better and you can play with Casper

Re: Battles

Is there any @moderator around please?

I'm having a really rough night, I've tried to get some sleep but I just can't switch off as there's too many thoughts racing through me.

I've reached out to crisis services but been dismissed and let down and i can't reach out to 2 of them again until tomorrow so I'm left with no support.

Just really not sure what to do right now 😞. I'm sorry for being such a bother on everyone.

Re: Battles

I'm sorry.

Re: Battles

I'm sorry to hear you are having such a rough night tonight, and that when you have reached out you felt dismissed by them.

It sounds like you are feeling really alone tonight, so I am really glad you are still coming here to the forums to share what's going on for you tonight/this morning.

Keep coming here, keep connecting and reaching out here. We are with you.

Re: Battles

@Dreamy we are missing you.

I hope you are OK

Re: Battles

Hey @Till23 @Dreamy @MissinTooth ,

How are you all?

I can see things have been tough for you recently. Whilst we cannot deny pain comes with these challenges, are you able to share some of the things you are grateful for?

Being able to practice the skill of gratitude can help how we perceive things. As I said, this is not to invalidate or disregard your challenges, but rather, a way to 'exercise' the parts of our brain that help us see otherwise.

It's important to have this balance.

Re: Battles

Hey @tyme

I am grateful to live so close to nature.

I am grateful to wake up to birdsong esp the magpies.

I am grateful to be able to hear the wind in the trees and the gurgling of the creek after it rains

I am grateful to feel the sun on my skin

I am grateful to smell the eucalyptus

I am grateful to see all the birds, water dragons, blue tongue lizards, other lizards, possums, butterflies, dragonflies, bees, wasps and beetles in my garden

I am grateful to taste the berries, tomatoes, capsicums and herbs from my garden

I am so lucky to be able to experience this every day. I am aware that some people cannot and many others don’t take the time. I am lucky I can and I do.
