Re: Re@: My f@itness journey
Was just playing blues piano and thought of you and this convo @TAB
Thinking ... der complaining about getting Safety Cert and then saying nobody spoke of safety around me ... always contradicting myself ... der .... but then again there was 10 full years between getting that cert at school in a big Olympic pool and swimming in isolated beaches during my late teens. Thinking I enjoyed the quietness and stillness and adventure of walking on sand without lots of prints... certainly did not think of my swimming cert. btw it was the only one. .. but I guess the fact of it made my semi surfer days viable. I was a better swimmer than my bf who was an inland country boy who possibly took up surfing cos I loved the water ...and it was a semi healthy lifestyle ... among all the other stuff around in those times. I spent a lot of time under the sun out on a back swell ... and loved the landscape ... pre earth science days ...I did not ride a board... just body surfed.
Maybe my later academic style (which I think may have got up your nose?? lol) came as reaction to all my earlier ignorance and lack of informed knowhow about all matter of risks etc ... with a Sz overwhlemed church mad mother and a dead dad .. nobody was looking oiut for me... so I had to. As a kid, I remember lil boys here and there carrying on about spiders ... I thought them a bit hysterical lol ... and studied them calmly in a jar in last years at school ... just a bit different Tabsie ...
Back to playing some more blues ... and I have score of Round Midnight somewhere ...

Re: Re@: My f@itness journey
When I finally got my motor bike at 18 I was very pleased to ride it down the Great Ocean Road.
