temper for me too is a very big indicator. it is so hard sometimes when my husband does extraordinarily disruptive and also unnecessary things. i am mostly a very patient person but temper has contributed to rises in my blood pressure of late.

Hi Tulip,
I'm sorry to hear about your knee and hope you are not in too much pain. I think as carers we always seem to be managing one crisis or another, as well as our own grief and sadness.
That's really tough when we are feeling well, but when we become unwell, or are in pain it becomes almost impossible.
It always seems so unfair that we spend so much time looking after others, but don't get much care when we get sick ourselves. Is it possible that someone can give you a break so that you can recover from your injury?

We got another 15 - 20 minutes before this live discussion comes to an end. So if you've got any final thoughts please post them now.
Sound like all of us know our indicators that signal a need for some respite.
@tulip I admire you tenancity to get to the movies - I hope you get to the cinemas, or at the least have some down time for a movie at home (if it's relaxing at home). To @3forme 's point, have you got someone that can provide you with some support at the moment?

i will splurge and get a taxi to the regional cinema which luckily is only 5 minutes from home. i am having a little break now as hubby is in hospital over night for assessment.

I love the idea of 'splurging' in the sense of giving yourself a little treat.
On that note, with 10 minutes to go, I thought I might ask what are three things you could do this week to treat yourself and give yourself some respite.
Ready? Set? Go!
Mine are:
1.) Go to be earlier so I can have at least 30 minutes reading time
2.) Go for a run in the morning
3.) Cook myself my favourite meal
