unbelievably hot here this week 🥵 So hot that my phone won’t charge, even at night.

Made molasses water for the horses.

Dougie the biggest, drank 30 litres and the others drank 15 litres each.

The relief of sticking your head under a cold water tap 🚰 is the BEST.

I got to go up a ladder 🪜 now 👋🏼

take it easy @Glisten  yes in my 20s was known to jump into 44 gallon drum of dirty water when mixing concrete in the heat

Like I said I eat to work. Like yesterday, I was clearing dead branches off the roof of the horse shed.

But I got up there by climbing up the Morton Bay fig tree.

I’m still taking branches to the winter burn pile.

Filling in bunny holes.
4 wheelbarrows of decomposing pine needles into the dry compost.

Collecting horse manure for wet compost.

Checking the boys everyday.

Still sanding, painting and building furniture.

Now I’m hungry. Because I’ve been sitting for too long.

@TAB - I have seen those fish cakes in the supermarket freezer a few months ago

I quite like making my own fishcakes salmon or tuna (tinned of course) with mashed potato in them.

@Glisten - I also like a good frittata - last one I made was chicken, sweet potato, corn and asparagus with pine nuts
