Walked to my son's favourite local restaurant with him and nephew. Yum dindin. Hawkers chicken and lemon Thai tea. Grateful for family.

It sounds like you had a lovely time with your family @Appleblossom .  I've got some distressing news, mum suffered a serious head injury yesterday morning, and is going to be in hospital for some weeks.  My sister Beck and brother-in-law Lyndan are looking after the house, and Oscar's with Dad at accommodation at the hospital.  Dad doesn't want to leave Mum alone there, so accommodation nearby is the answer. 

When I spoke to him I could tell Dad was being calm for me.

@Abner I am really sorry to hear about your mum. I do hope she is not too bad and that the doctors can help. Would be stressful for everyone.  Look after yourself too.

@Glisten yes, I think she said it cost $900 a month in kitty litter, food and supplements. Some days the smell is breath taking....fortunately most days when I visit it's not noticeable. I mean, there are cat ladies and then there's crazy cat ladies like said friend. 

I p*sses me because while she's paying nearly a grand for her cats and complaining that she thinks she deserves to get paid even more than she already does I am struggling to find $50 a month to pay for a non pbs medication that I need. 

Gotta stop thinking about it before I start crying at the injustice of it all 😰
