I was in fact just looking at the restaurant menu online.  Checked out the cocktail menu, and there are a couple which sound very appealing indeed. So I may well take your suggestion and have one.  The good thing is that one of hubbys friends whom we invited to come with us is driving us. They get a free meal on us, so I guess they felt it only fair to drive.  Yay!  I dont have to drive ... for once.  So I can have a drink .. or two even.  Although I am never really comfortable going out anywhere, I am actually quite looking forward to tonights dinner.

I am nursing my cup of decaf this morning, trying to keep my fingers warm.  Been lovely, big blanket of fog on the hills and now the sun is shining   

@Former-Member- I hope things are a bit more settled for you. Sounds like a few rough weeks.

hi @Gazza75 I'm travelling well thanks, the hills sound lovely - I hiked up in the hills thurs but have to drive an hour to get to a national park. I admire you discipline in having decaf! I'm definitely a slave to morning caffeine! How is you weekend looking?

Thanks @BryanaCamp ... yes it was a nice dinner on Wednesday night.  A celebration of turning 60 ... oops 😲

We have had a visitor all week ... my sister ... but she left yesterday.  And now things are returning to normal again at home.

Hubby is now doing well since his hospital stay a couple of weeks ago.  It is so nice to see him finally starting to feel a little bit of positivity.  His health issues have been major over the past 2 years, and its been a roller coaster for both of us.

How has your week been, and are you happy to have the weekend here now?
