It is indeed an amazing time to be alive! Stop and think for a moment of the billions of years of delicately balanced events that lead to the person you are being alive right now. Take a look at human DNA and you will see there a literally billions of combinations and yet here YOU are on a planet that is just right for life, in a solar system with a habital goldilocks zone, in a galaxy located in a Universe that happens to have created the right chemicals to produce the things that lead to you. How infinitely small the chance of your birth is and how tiny you are in a Universe we are just beginning to understand. If you are reading this be grateful you have evolved eyes capable of distinguishing written words and that you had parents and teachers who's brains were wired in a way that inspired and enabled you to learn the meaning of words. I often consider these things, and have an understanding of my insignificance in a Universal context, and yet here we are contemplating it. How very remarkable we are!

I am grateful for the rain.
It's been so very hot on the outskirts of Brisbane and now we are getting a little rain it's a tad more comfortable.
I'm also grateful for the internet which has made it possible to participate in these forus and has also allowed me to extend my knowledge on MI through researching for free.
I'm grateful that I have a daughter. She may be 12 and talking is like pulling tigers teeth but I do so enjoy her.
I'm grateful to my mates and my God children and my former brother in law who is still kind.
